Homework & Test Policy According to the school board homework should be assigned and testing done on a regular basis. Homework is important to reinforce skills and concepts presented in class. In general, students who do well academically are students who do their homework on a regular basis. To help ensure a good school year, the following policy will be in effect. Please read this, print it out and sign it. Return it to me and I will keep it on file. Regularly assigned homework is due on the next school day. If you are absent the next day the regular school rule applies. If homework is not made-up on time no credit will be given. Homework is corrected in school, collected, checked and returned to the student. A list of homework assignments is available on the Internet. If you have a question about your child's homework completion, ask to see the returned assignments. If you are absent on the day a test is given you have one day after your return to schedule a make-up. If you do not take the test within one week of your return you may not take the test and will receive a 0 for that test. Lab activities will always require a lab write-up, which will count as a test grade. Lab write-ups are due the day after a lab activity is completed in class. If you do not turn in a lab write-up on time you will drop a grade for every day that it is late. If you are absent, the same school rules apply. I understand the things happen that may cause homework or a lab write-up to be late. As long as a short note from home is presented an extension will be granted.
